The Florio Cellars were built in 1832 by Vincenzo Florio. Entirely covered with tufa stone, they reflect the Anglo-Saxon style of the time with its wide and pointed lancet arches and tufa floors. The building covers 44,000 square meters and represents the heart of the Marsala production. In the past the Florio vessels left from here full of this precious nectar, which nowadays still represents the most famous Marsala Liquor in the world. The majestic aging cellars cover 7,400 square meters. Here you will find 1400 wine casks and 600 wine vats and barrels of different capacities, distributed along 104 archways, 165 meters long (for three archways).
