Visit to the largest collection of applied Sicilian art

The Regional Museum hosts numerous paintings, representing the artistic culture of the western Sicily between the XIII and the XIX century; sculptures, including those of the “gaginesca” school; craft cribs wood-made realised in the city of Trapani; jewels from the treasure of the Madonna of Trapani, traditional silvers and corals which were once mainly produced in Trapani; sacred ornaments, acquired with the Leggi eversive of 1867, and vintage clothes once owned by the nobles of Trapani; majolica, like the floor representing the fishing of tuna, a really important productive activity of the area; heirlooms of the Risorgimento, which witness the involvement of the province in the Italian Unification.
