Discovering prehistoric graffiti
The Genovese cave was discovered in 1949; it is a prehistoric church where religion and culture are visible through graffiti and other paintings on the rock representing people and animals. The graffiti date back to 11-12 thousand years ago, which represent the initial part of the Paleolitic, while the paintings 5-6 thousand years ago, the end of Neolitic. The figures on the walls can be considered an archaeological documentation of an inestimable value; to visit the cove of Genovese it is possible to choose between the boat excursions or You could rent a jeep. There are also guided tour for the inside. The duration is almost 1 hour and 50 minutes.
