The ancient City and the Forum
Parenzo is full of bizantine churches. The facades of the buildings are rich with Gothic decorations and Venetian balconies ,while ruins and remains of the Roman period can be found here and there.
The historical centre of Porec (Parenzo) is very small but it showcases extraordinary surprises from an architectural point of view : the roads of Parenzo are rich of bizantine churches , The facades of the houses are rich with Gothic decorations, Venetian balconies, and ruins from the Roman period such as the Foum which, became the main square of the City (Piazza Marafor) and still preserves the ancient paving with the remains of the temple dedicated to Neptune, dating back to to the II century.
The amazing coastline offers 37 km of beaches and wonderful bays.
