The Sardella di Fazana
Fazana is a tiny coastal village at less than 10 km distance from Pola. Don’t miss its roman amphitheatre known as the “Colosseum”. The Emilia Sergi triumphal arch, dating back to the the first century AD is definitely worth a visit; it is located on the decumanus of the city. In Fazana the local Sardella fish, rich in nutrients and anti-oxidants, is used in many traditional recipes. It is often offered as a special dish during during boat trips along the coast.
